The Lower frame is constructed of 2 inch by 2 inch square tubing with 11 Gauge (approximately 1/8 inch) wall thickness pulled by a 2 x 2 x ΒΌ inch tongue. The upper frame is constructed of 2 x 2 x 14 Gauge Steel. The Cargo Box is formed from 16 Gauge steel and is welded in the frame at over 100 points. The all-aluminum Cargo Box Lids are formed with a center "gutter" that, combined with rubber seals, provide a weather-proof seal. The tail gate is a welded construction using an aluminum tube frame skinned with 1/8 inch thick aluminum sheet inside and out. The standard Hi/Lo Rack allows easy and secure external cargo capacity whether it is a canoe, a load of plywood, or a college freshman's furniture.
